First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tested a mobile phone app called 'My Personal Health Guide' that uses a friendly, talking avatar to help African American men who have sex with men (ages 18-34) stick to their HIV medication and stay in care. The app provides private, easy-to-understand information and motivation to overcome barriers like stigma. The main goal was to see if using the app helps lower the amount of virus in the blood (viral suppression) over 6 months.
