Blood protein clues may spot lung trouble in arthritis patients

NCT ID NCT07173582

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study looks at whether two proteins, MMP7 and MMP9, can be used as a screening tool for interstitial lung disease (ILD) in people with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Researchers will compare three groups: RA patients with ILD, RA patients without ILD, and healthy volunteers. They will measure protein levels in blood samples and check for links to disease activity and lung changes.
