First look: how a new drug behaves in failing kidneys

NCT ID NCT06814132

Summary

This study aimed to understand how the experimental drug MK-5684 is processed by the body in men with severe or end-stage kidney disease. Researchers compared drug levels in the blood of 24 men—some with kidney disease and some healthy—after a single dose. The goal was to see if kidney function changes how the drug is absorbed, distributed, and cleared, including during dialysis.
