New test could spot hidden diabetes linked to pancreatic cancer

Summary

This study aims to see if a mixed meal test can better diagnose type 3c diabetes, which is caused by pancreatic cancer or chronic pancreatitis. Researchers will enroll 775 adults aged 30 to 84 who have new-onset diabetes and either pancreatic cancer or chronic pancreatitis. The goal is to improve detection and understanding of this specific diabetes type.
