Double valve fix may boost heart failure outcomes
NCT ID NCT07349888
First seen Jan 21, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study looks at whether repairing both the mitral and tricuspid heart valves at the same time is better than fixing only the mitral valve in people with severe leakage in both valves. About 404 adults with moderate-to-severe or severe valve leakage will be randomly assigned to one of the two procedures. The goal is to see which approach leads to fewer deaths, hospitalizations, and better quality of life one year after treatment.
