Antioxidant pill tested to ease breathing in obese asthma patients
NCT ID NCT04026711
Summary
This small, early-stage study tested whether a daily antioxidant pill called MitoQ could improve lung function in adults with both obesity and poorly controlled asthma. Over 14 weeks, 40 participants took either MitoQ or a placebo pill. The main goal was to see if MitoQ reduced airway sensitivity and helped control asthma symptoms.
