Summary
This study was designed to explore how tiny energy-producing parts of cells, called mitochondria, might lead to heart damage in people with sepsis. Researchers planned to compare blood samples from sepsis patients and healthy volunteers. However, the study was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled, so no results are available.
