Summary
This study is creating a national registry and sample bank for people with mitochondrial disorders—rare genetic diseases that affect the body's energy production. By collecting health information and tissue samples from up to 1,000 participants, researchers aim to build a shared resource to accelerate future research. The goal is to help scientists better understand these complex diseases and develop new treatments.
