Summary
This study tests a therapy called Mentalizing Imagery Therapy (MIT) for family caregivers of people with Alzheimer's or related dementias. The goal is to see if it can lower stress, depression, and the risk of elder mistreatment. About 50 caregivers who provide at least 8 hours of care per week and have mild depressive symptoms will participate. The therapy focuses on improving mentalizing skills to help caregivers cope better.
