Mirror trick may ease Post-Stroke pain

NCT ID NCT07537465

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tested whether mirror therapy can reduce pain and improve movement in stroke patients who also have complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS). Forty adults who had a stroke within the past year and were diagnosed with CRPS took part. They received either real mirror therapy or a sham version for 20 minutes daily over 4 weeks, alongside standard rehab. The goal was to see if the therapy could ease pain, reduce swelling, and improve arm function.
