First seen Feb 23, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study will test if a special type of light, called monochromatic infrared energy (MIRE), can help heal foot ulcers in people with diabetes. About 40 adults with diabetes and a foot ulcer that hasn't healed in at least 30 days will receive MIRE treatment. Researchers will track wound size and quality of life to see if the light therapy improves healing.
