First seen Nov 06, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study is testing whether an artificial intelligence (AI) model called Mirai can accurately identify women at high risk for breast cancer. 400 women aged 40-89 who are flagged as high-risk by the AI will receive an additional MRI screening. The goal is to see if this approach finds more cancers than standard mammograms alone.
