This study tested a 4-week program where young ethnic minority adults (ages 18-35) with a family history of heart disease practiced slow, guided breathing to improve stress control. Participants were split into two groups: one did the breathing exercises, the other did not. Researchers measured heart rate, anxiety, and stress responses to see if this simple technique could help lower heart disease risk.
