Can mindfulness be the missing piece for lasting weight loss?
NCT ID NCT04337619
Summary
This study tested whether adding specific mindfulness and acceptance skills to standard remote weight loss counseling helps people lose more weight. Researchers worked with 276 adults who were overweight or obese to see if learning awareness, acceptance, and values-clarity techniques improved outcomes. The goal was to find the most effective combination of these psychological tools to help control weight long-term.
