Mind over gut: can meditation beat the IBS diet?
NCT ID NCT05630703
Summary
This study aims to see if a mindfulness-based training program is as good as, or better than, the standard low-FODMAP diet for managing irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) symptoms. It will involve 30 adults with IBS who will be randomly assigned to try one of the two approaches over 8 weeks. The main goal is to see which method helps people feel better overall by measuring changes in their symptoms, stress, and quality of life.
