Summary
This study developed and tested a mindfulness-based group program designed to help people quit smoking and reduce heavy alcohol use at the same time. It involved 67 adults in the Tampa Bay area who were motivated to make these changes. Researchers measured whether participants found the program helpful and tracked their smoking and drinking habits during and after the 8-week course.
