Can a phone call calm your surgery pain?
NCT ID NCT05888025
Summary
This small study is testing whether a mindfulness therapy program delivered over the phone can help patients who worry a lot about pain cope better before and after spine surgery. Researchers will first adapt the program with a small group, then offer four weekly sessions to 20 patients before their operation and follow them for two weeks after. The main goals are to see if patients find the program helpful and satisfying, and if it reduces their pain-related worry.
