Temples test mindfulness to ease depression
NCT ID NCT06598579
Summary
This study is testing whether a mindfulness-based therapy program can help reduce depression symptoms and improve quality of life when delivered in Buddhist pagodas in Vietnam. The program is adapted for local culture and delivered by trained non-specialists to improve access to mental health care. Researchers will compare the therapy to standard meditation practices already offered at pagodas to see which is more effective for 160 adults with depression.
