Can meditation calm your nerves to help your kidneys?
NCT ID NCT04099992
Summary
This study is testing if mindfulness meditation can help calm an overactive nervous system in people with chronic kidney disease (CKD), which is linked to high blood pressure and heart risk. Researchers also want to see if a gentle, non-invasive device that stimulates a nerve in the ear can make the meditation more effective. The study will enroll 150 adults with moderate CKD to try these approaches over 8 weeks.
