Can drum circles and mindfulness ease the mental strain of racism?

NCT ID NCT06513871

Summary

This Yale University study is testing whether virtual, community-based programs that combine music and mindfulness can help Black adults manage stress, anxiety, and depression. The research focuses on creating culturally relevant support, an area often overlooked in past studies. Participants will try the programs and also take part in simple, silent social interaction tasks to see if feelings of connection with others improve.
