NCT ID NCT07417579
First seen Feb 19, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This small study looked at whether an eight-week mindfulness and meditation program could help people with substance use disorders avoid relapse. Three adults completed the program, and while all reported feeling less stressed and more mindful, two experienced a relapse within a year. One person stayed sober long-term. The study suggests mindfulness may be a helpful tool, but more research is needed.
