Can mindfulness stop dangerous pregnancy condition? new study investigates

NCT ID NCT07218237

Summary

This study is testing whether mindfulness training, with or without wearable sensors, can help prevent preeclampsia—a serious high blood pressure disorder during pregnancy. Researchers will enroll 90 pregnant women at risk for this condition and randomly assign them to receive mindfulness sessions, mindfulness plus sensors, or regular prenatal care. The main goal is to see if this type of study is practical to run, while also checking if the approach affects blood pressure, stress, and anxiety levels.
