Can a quick mindfulness lesson in the waiting room ease your pain?
NCT ID NCT06952049
Summary
This study tested whether a brief mindfulness session could help reduce pain for patients waiting in an orthopedic clinic. Researchers also wanted to see if explaining how mindfulness works beforehand made it more effective. Over 600 adult patients participated in the trial, which compared different combinations of mindfulness practice and education.
