Summary

This study tested whether a mindfulness program could help first responders manage job stress and physical discomfort. Twenty-nine active first responders participated in an 8-week virtual mindfulness course and used a companion app for six months. Researchers measured changes in their perceived stress, resilience, work engagement, and muscle pain.
