Mindfulness eases dialysis burden, boosts treatment Follow-Through
NCT ID NCT07471828
Summary
This study tested whether weekly mindfulness sessions led by nurses could help people on long-term dialysis feel better mentally and stick to their complex treatment plans. Eighty patients were split into two groups: one received six weekly mindfulness sessions, while the other received standard care. The group that did mindfulness showed significant improvements in their mental well-being and were better at following their diet, fluid limits, medication, and dialysis schedule.
