Mind over muffin: can mindfulness curb cravings for better diabetes control?
NCT ID NCT03207711
Summary
This study tested whether adding mindfulness training to standard diet education helps people with type 2 diabetes stick to a low-carbohydrate eating plan. Researchers worked with 60 participants to see if learning mindfulness skills—like noticing cravings without acting on them—could improve diet adherence and, in turn, help with blood sugar control and weight. The goal was to find better ways to support long-term healthy eating habits for managing diabetes.
