Scientists scan brains to unlock why mindfulness eases anxiety

NCT ID NCT05064813

Summary

This study aims to understand how mindfulness training helps people with generalized anxiety disorder by looking at changes in their brain activity. Researchers will compare an 8-week mindfulness program to a stress education program in 150 adults with anxiety, using brain scans before and after. The main goal is to learn how the treatment works in the brain and if it affects men and women differently.
