First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This pilot study tests whether a remotely delivered mindfulness-based diabetes education program, combined with home blood sugar monitoring, is feasible and acceptable for rural Black adults with type 2 diabetes who have high stress and poorly controlled blood sugar. The study will enroll 80 participants from federally qualified health centers and compare the new approach to standard diabetes education. The goal is to see if this program can help reduce diabetes distress and improve self-management.
