Brain training meets meditation: new tech aims to tame stress

NCT ID NCT06208787

Summary

This study tested whether a new brain training technique could make mindfulness meditation more effective at reducing stress. 80 adults with mild to severe stress symptoms were randomly assigned to receive either real or sham (fake) brainwave feedback during meditation sessions. The goal was to see if guiding the brain into a specific relaxed state could improve people's ability to manage stress, measured through questionnaires, brain recordings, and stress tests.
