Brain zaps & meditation team up to fight alcohol cravings
NCT ID NCT06308484
Summary
This study is testing whether adding gentle, non-invasive brain stimulation to a mindfulness-based relapse prevention program helps people with alcohol dependence stay sober better than the mindfulness program alone. It will involve 140 people who have recently stopped drinking. Researchers will measure drinking behavior, cravings, and brain activity to see if the combined approach improves self-control and reduces relapse risk for up to three months.
