Can a phone app calm your mind and ease surgery pain?
NCT ID NCT05157490
Summary
This study tested whether a short mindfulness program, delivered through a popular meditation app called Headspace, could help reduce pain and improve recovery for women having a minimally invasive hysterectomy. Researchers enrolled 72 women and compared those who used the app before surgery to those who did not. The main goal was to see if this easy, non-drug approach could lead to less pain on the first day after the operation.
