Can a phone app calm your nerves and protect your heart?
NCT ID NCT06152185
Summary
This study is testing whether a 4-week mindfulness training program delivered through a smartphone app can help reduce stress and improve blood pressure in adults aged 45+ who are at risk for heart disease. About 105 participants were randomly assigned to either use the daily mindfulness app or continue their usual routines. Researchers are measuring stress levels, blood pressure, and mood over several months to see if the app is helpful and practical for this group.
