Summary

This study tested whether a smartphone app delivering mindfulness exercises could help reduce anxiety and stress related to the COVID-19 pandemic. It enrolled 369 Black and Latino adults with significant anxiety. Participants were assigned to use one of two mindfulness apps or be in a waitlist group, and their anxiety and stress levels were tracked over 12 weeks.
