Mind over infertility: harvard study tests simple attention trick

NCT ID NCT03712982

First seen May 13, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026

Summary

This study tested whether a simple mindfulness technique—paying close attention to changes in body sensations—could improve well-being for couples struggling with infertility. Researchers enrolled 70 people (infertile patients and their partners) who were about to start their first IVF cycle. The goal was to see if this easy, low-cost approach could reduce stress and boost mood, and whether being more mindful in general might help with getting pregnant.
