NCT ID NCT06405893

First seen Aug 10, 2026 · Last updated Aug 11, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study explores whether a brief mindful breathing exercise can improve how quickly and accurately people name pictured objects. Healthy adults aged 18-35 or 60-80 will either do a 10-minute guided breathing exercise or listen to a control recording, then name pictures as fast as they can. Researchers will also track heart rate and have participants complete surveys. The goal is to understand if mindful breathing supports the mental process of finding the right words.
