NCT ID NCT07767604
First seen Aug 17, 2026 ยท Last updated Aug 17, 2026
Summary
This trial tests whether an 8-week mobile health program called MindBridge, delivered through a WeChat mini-program and based on dialectical behavior therapy, can reduce suicide-related thoughts and behaviors in Chinese young adults aged 18 to 24 who are at mild-to-moderate risk. Participants are randomly assigned to receive MindBridge plus usual care or a general well-being program plus usual care. The study measures changes in suicidal thoughts, depression, anxiety, sleep, and other factors over the intervention and a month after.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only โ not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- MindBridge, an 8-week mobile health intervention delivered via a WeChat mini-program, based on dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), added to treatment as usual.
- What this could lead to
- If effective, MindBridge could offer a scalable, accessible digital tool to help reduce suicide-related thoughts and behaviors in young adults.
- What could go wrong
- This is a small, early-stage trial (84 participants) with a behavioral intervention, so results may not generalize. The app is an add-on, not a replacement for standard care, and its benefits are uncertain.
