Light beam trial targets Post-Birth pain

NCT ID NCT05345600

Summary

This study is testing whether a special light therapy device called MILTA can reduce pain from scars in the perineum (the area between the vagina and anus) after vaginal delivery. It will compare the MILTA treatment to a placebo (fake) treatment in 110 women who recently gave birth and have painful scars. The goal is to see if this non-drug approach can help manage this common source of pain.
