Summary
This study compared two types of laryngoscope blades (Miller and Macintosh) used to help place a breathing tube during general anesthesia. Over 1,100 adults having planned surgery had their airway viewed with both blades to see which gave a better look at the voice box opening. The goal was to find out which blade might make intubation easier and safer.
