Milk proteins could be key to stopping deadly diarrhea in vulnerable kids
NCT ID NCT05519254
Summary
This study is testing whether two natural proteins from milk, lactoferrin and lysozyme, can help children who are recovering from severe diarrhea and malnutrition. The goal is to see if these daily supplements, mixed into food, can prevent future diarrhea episodes and help the children gain weight and get healthier over six months. The trial involves 600 young children in Kenya who recently left the hospital.
