New migraine shot combo tested in major hospital trial
NCT ID NCT06653218
Summary
This study tested whether adding platelet-rich plasma (PRP, a substance from a person's own blood) to a standard lidocaine injection for chronic migraine works better than the lidocaine injection alone. Researchers followed 200 adults with chronic migraine to see which treatment reduced headache days more over one month. The goal was to find a more effective and longer-lasting option to ease migraine symptoms.
