First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether Miebo eye drops, used for one month before and 1.5 months after LASIK surgery, can reduce dry eye symptoms in people who already have dry eye disease. One hundred adults will use the drops four times daily. The goal is to see if eye dryness after surgery is better than before treatment.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only โ€” not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
Miebo eye drops
What this could lead to
If successful, this could show that using Miebo before and after LASIK helps prevent or reduce dry eye symptoms after surgery.
What could go wrong
This is a small, open-label Phase 4 trial with no placebo group, so results may be biased. It may not prove Miebo is better than standard care.
