First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tested a new microwave imaging device called Wavelia #2 to see if it can detect and measure breast cancers and benign lumps. 73 women with breast abnormalities larger than 1 cm were scanned. The goal was to see how well the device finds lesions and tells cancerous from non-cancerous ones, using safe, non-ionizing radiation.
