Radiation's hidden toll: study checks blood vessels of hospital workers

NCT ID NCT07363187

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study aims to see if long-term, low-dose radiation exposure at work can cause early damage to small blood vessels in healthcare workers. Researchers will use a simple microscope test on the fingernail area and blood tests to look for signs of vessel and inflammation changes. The study will compare 90 exposed workers with non-exposed coworkers to better understand these early effects.
