Scientists probe tiny Molecule's link to leg pain and walking trouble

NCT ID NCT04089943

Summary

This study aimed to understand how a tiny molecule in the body, called microRNA-210, is involved in the stress and energy problems that occur in the muscles of people with peripheral artery disease (PAD). Researchers compared 180 patients who had a procedure to improve blood flow in their legs to 50 healthy people. They measured the molecule in muscle samples and tested how far people could walk to see if there was a connection.
