First-Ever search for plastic in the human pancreas

Summary

This study aims to find out if tiny plastic particles, called microplastics, are present in the human pancreas. Researchers will analyze tissue samples from 10 patients who are having pancreas surgery. The goal is to see if these plastics are there and if their amount is related to how the pancreas works or to cancer risk.
