Tiny blood particles may reveal hidden cancer spread
NCT ID NCT03969784
First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study looked at tiny particles called microparticles in the blood of 41 people with colorectal cancer that had spread to the lining of the abdomen. The goal was to see if these particles could serve as a better early warning sign than current tests. Researchers compared particle patterns between patients with and without this spread, and tracked changes during surgery and follow-up.
