Tiny needles tested to smooth painful burn scars

NCT ID NCT05423613

Summary

This study is testing whether a treatment called microneedling can improve the appearance and feel of thick, raised scars from burns or other severe skin injuries. Participants will receive up to five sessions where a device creates tiny channels in the scar, followed by an application of a cortisone cream. The goal is to see if this combination makes scars less red, less thick, and more flexible, which could reduce discomfort and improve quality of life.
