Tiny bubbles could supercharge wound healing

NCT ID NCT05169814

Summary

This early-stage study is testing a new way to deliver oxygen to wounds using microscopic bubbles. Researchers want to see if applying these oxygen-rich bubbles to wounds helps them heal faster and better. The study will involve 40 adults with various types of wounds, from surgical cuts to chronic ulcers. The treatment will be applied daily or continuously, depending on the wound type, for 2-4 weeks while patients are in the hospital.
