First seen Jun 05, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tested a 4-hour head ultrasound (transcranial-holter) to detect tiny blood clots in people who recently had a stroke. The goal was to see if this test could help doctors find the exact cause of the stroke, which is important for choosing the right treatment to prevent another one. 244 patients took part, and the results were compared with standard tests.
