This study investigates whether problems in the smallest blood vessels (microcirculation) can predict major complications after heart surgery, such as stroke, kidney injury, or death. Researchers will measure blood flow in the mouth and skin of 100 adults undergoing cardiac surgery, before and after the procedure.
